Your home away from home right in the heart of San Sebastian, the historic center of La Gomera, with spectacular views from the terraces of the town, the bay, the sandy beach, the marina and the green hills with their lush vegetation rising up behind the island. Situated just a few minute’s walk from all the town’s amenities, public transportation and many good restaurants, this unique apartment is divided over two separate levels.

Detailed description

The Calvario Apartments offer modern, luxury accommodation in the alternative destination of San Sebastian, La Gomera, a town almost untouched by tourism. The apartment building is just a short walk from the town center, the supermarket, bus station, ferry building, beach, restaurants and shops. These two apartments, 3a and 3b share a main entrance in the same building. For larger groups or two families traveling together, both apartments can be rented and used as one!

The entrance is accessed from the road via wide steps on the side of the building. There is plenty of street parking if you decide to rent a car.

The highlight of this apartment are the terraces spanning both levels that face southeast so early birds can watch the sunrise over Tenerife and sun worshippers will enjoy sunshine through to late afternoon. Attractive wooden roofing provides shade for those less keen on direct sun rays. Guests can dine outside on the terrace in the warm evenings at the table which seats six.

All the rooms have windows and ceiling ventilator fans making this accommodation very bright and airy.

Living area

Emphasis is on making you feel comfortable and at home yet still giving you the true island experience. Tastefully decorated in the warm hues of the Canaries, the living room has very comfortable furnishings including a couch, armchair and large double sofa bed if an additional bed is needed. The doors to the living room can be shut to provide extra privacy. The patio doors open up to the lower terrace, letting the breeze blow in from the ocean. Steps go up from this terrace to the upper level where bedrooms 2 and 3 are located on a large terrace of their own.

Bedrooms and bathrooms:

The first level apartment has a large bathroom with combination bathtub/shower, sink, mirror, bidet and toilet.

Bedroom 1 is located on the first level and has a double bed, a wardrobe with plenty of space, dressing table, bedside tables and a ventilator fan for warm summer nights.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 are both located on the 2nd level. Each has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table and fan. The two levels create a feeling of privacy yet still with a sense of togetherness.

Kitchen:

The modern kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals if you are a self-caterer. Recently renovated, it has an oven/hob, large fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fan with a table and chairs seating up to 8 people.
